"Makefile.def" for Ubuntu 9.04

Notes: * Unpack "OpenSees2.1.0.tar.gz" in $HOME (or /home/Ubuntu_Username) * Need "bin" and "lib" folders in $HOME * Makefile.def should be in $HOME/OpenSees/ (~/OpenSees$) * Some libraries may be needed. To install them, open a terminal window and write the following c...

Unloading/reloading rules in Concrete02 ?

I was wondering if somebody knows what the rules are for the unloading/reloading stiffness in the Concrete02 material model. I think this cyclic model is not the one proposed by Karsan-Jirsa, which is used in concrete01 and concrete04, right? I'd really appreciate if you can give me a reference. The...

This is for a steel cross-section modeled with fibers. Each fiber may have a different value of initial residual stress or strain due to the fabrication process. I'd appreciate any idea.

Residual stresses in a fiber model?

Has anybody included initial residual stress/strain in a fiber model?

Thank you for your response. Since then, I have studied the manual and tried some commands (sp, nodeDisp) to hold concrete strain (not curvature) in a fiber section, but without any success. Could you please give more details? I will appreciate any suggestion.

getStrain or getStress

Does somebody know how getStrain or getStress commands work?.
I have not seen anything about it in the manual.

I have a similar question. Are there other commands, similar to “nodedisp” or “getTime” commands, but returning other responses? Other responses could be, for example: - The stress or the strain of a specific fiber section - The velocity or acceleration of a specific joint - Others I would appreciat...

P-M curve ?

I have seen a procedure to get the moment-curvature analysis on a fiber section. Is it possible in OpenSees to get the axial force - moment bending curve of a fiber section?
