Where?

I am pretty new to OpenSees so I have been modifying the M-C script from the examples online. I know what most of the commands are doing except in the actual analysis section of the code, I am still trying to figure out exactly what everything does, which makes troubleshooting a little harder!

Wouldn't adding a gravity load analysis just increase the axial load on the wall section? Or does it do something else? When I have the axial load at 0.1f'cAg the moment to reach a specific curvature is about 1% of the moment at the same curvature when there is no axial load, which makes no real sen...

RC Wall Moment Curvature Analysis

I am working on running a moment curvature analysis for L shaped walls. I am trying to find the MC response of the wall with an axial load of 0.1 * f'c * Ag. My code seems to work fine when I have no axial load, but once I add it in the results dont seem to make much sense. Any help would be much ap...

Thanks for the help. I fixed some of the things you pointed out then it ran perfectly. I guess I had been looking at the code for too long and couldn't see the obvious. Cheers.

T-Beam Moment Curvature Analysis

I am trying to run a Moment Curvature analysis on a reinforced concrete T-Beam section but when I run my code it returns what seems to be a convergence error. I have been trying to figure it out but have thus far been unsuccessful. Below is the code that I have been using: puts " --------------...

I have some similar questions. I am trying to run OpenSees on OS X 10.5.5 and am having some difficulty setting everything up. I am relatively new to OpenSees and new to Apple machines. My first question is how I can change the path that OpenSees runs through? When I run Opensees and try to source a...
