Deck modelling with shell element
Hi all, I would like to model a mixed steel concrete beam, using a forcebeam column element for the steel beam and a shell element for the concrete slab. After that I would like to connect the two elements with rigid links and zero length elements to simulate the presence of a connection. What mater...

Difference between modelling quad fiber or tri fiber
Hello to all, I would like to know if by modeling a structure with different fiber discretizations, or using the patch fiber command or using the fiber command, there are differences in the results? If yes, in which cases is it useful to discretize with quadrangular fibers and in which cases with tr...

Opensees does not record all the required instructions
Hi,
I have a problem with an analysis in which I run about 700 lines of recorders as I have to record the eps in all the elements of the structure. But opensees provides me with only 500 output .txt files of the 700 required. Can you tell me if there is a limit? thanks

Hi,
I have made a pushover analysis with opensees and following wiki examples I first put the gravity loads and after I have defined the command
Loadconst -time 0.0
But the pushover doesn't start from zero but start from 1. The Timeseries is Linear . Can you help me? Thanks

Fiber section quad compared fiber
Hi, I have modelled a 3d structure with STKO and after I have modified .tcl file manually. I have a question: I have modelled Ipe550 section with STKO triangular fiber and I got a different result compared to the case in which the same section has modelled with quad patch model (writing manually sec...
