Re: Realibity and sensitvity analysis example for layered soil column
Thank you, Michael, Sorry if it is a bit shortcut question. Can I ask what would be your advice to assess the analysis uncertainty, stability of the model, sensitivity of the parameters for the 2D site analysis for a layered soil column (total stress, PIMY material)? I got this question for my PhD e...

Realibity and sensitvity analysis example for layered soil column
Hi,
Does anyone have an example of reliability and sensitivity analysis for soil Site Response Analysis of a Layered Soil Column?
I am running a 2D analysis but will be more than grateful for any example?
Many thanks,
Anna

Re: Segmentation fault running dynamic analysis
Hi, Thanks for the response. The script is quite massive - see below. Too long to put here as it is originally - remove most of the nodes and elements definition. It fails on analyze (motionSteps, motionDT) - line 1109 Many thanks, Anna ########################################################### # #...

Segmentation fault running dynamic analysis
Hi, I got a segmentation fault (core dumped) on anlyze step when running site response analysis of a soil deposit with a parabolically varying shear wave velocity profile on an elastic half-space in OpenSeesPy. The finite rigidity of the underlying medium is considered through the use of a viscous d...

MUMPS solver
Hi, I did try to run 2D soil Site Response Analysis of a Layered Soil Column using MUMPS solver in OpenSeesPy. I changed the system parameter to Mumps and it runs smoothly but I didn't notice any difference in execution time, which I would expect (?). Is it anything specific of running MUMPS system ...

Hello, My computer got completely frozen just before finishing heavy OpenSees job (taking 3 days to run), after waiting over an hour I had to reboot it. The terminal windows are still open and I wonder if there is any command/way I can restart a job without loosing already created data. I can look a...

Re: missing operator at _@_ error in dynamic 2D Stress Analysis
That issue has been solved. The mistake was pretty trivial.
In line
set motiondT [expr $motiondT 2.0] ... the operator "/" was missing, so it should be
set motiondT [expr $motiondT/ 2.0].
