Thank you for your answer. So can I just use nonlinear beamColumn element to specify force based formulation and keep the integrator as displacement control in the solver as used in example 4-Portal frame cyclic pushover?

Hello, I am a new Opensees user and I am analyzing an RC Cantilever column using cyclic pushover but I want to do this using force based formulation.
