In Opensees, why reinforced concrete beam-column joint is assumed as a parallelogram?
I have included an inelastic Joint2D element in my RC moment frame building for RC BC joints. My moment frame has seismic and gravity loading, A. Which option is correct? Option 1. Is the RC BC joint modeled as a parallelogram considering shear deformation is more critical than flexural deformation?...

Meshing in force beam column element
Dear Users, Can someone help me with the number of fibers required in y and z direction of a force based nonlinear beam-column element? I have tried several values but I am having issues in the response in pushover analysis, specifically post yielding region. It has a lot of serrations and it is sto...

Joint2D calibration issues
Respected Users,
I have tried to calibrate joint2D element as per PEER22 joint model. But my response is not matching at all. The response is higher and drift at maximum response is not matching.
Please help me in this regard.
Regards,
Kaustav Sengupta

Effective stiffness & slip spring - flexure+slip calibration
Dear Users,
I am modelling a cantilever column using fiber section and nonlinear beam-column element for flexural calibration under lateral load. While using effective stiffness in the model, can I use elastic slip spring too?
Thank you.
