Re: long time to analyze 2D model
Thank you for replying , yes sure , i have a robust motor analysis that converges any complex model but it is necessary for my model because simple analysis script can't converges the model.

long time to analyze 2D model
hi , I have a 8story-2D steel moment frame with panelzone and concentrated plastic hinge as RBS , but time to IDA analysis is too long , namely after 48hr, only one record was analyzed, why the analysis time is too high? can someone advise me to reduce analysis time? thank you.

The Problem with RBS without panel zone
Hi
I have modeled a 2D steel moment frame (4 story) with RBS and PanelZone with Period (1.57s) that verified by a paper , when i eliminate PanelZone ,the Period increases to 4.5s , what's the problem ? should we always model RBS with panelzone or we can model RBS individually?
Thanks

Buckling

How can i consider column buckling behavior in SMF's?
