ignore the text posted to the screen .. the compiler nor exe is actually obtaining info from the MAkefile or system about whether the 32 or 64 bit version being compiled .. if you want to change it it is in SRC/tcl/tclMain.cpp

OpenSees is unitless .. it is thus you who distinguishes between them .. as for stress-strain or force-deformation it depends on the usage of the material, e.g. if in a zero-length element it is force-deformation, if a fiber in a section it is stress-strain

depends if you expect large displacement (translation and rotation) at the location .. you could always do the analysis with both and compare the result to see if it matters yourself.

no .. you need o download using svn and then build .. to build you need a Makefile.def .. a few are provided in MAKES directory .. many of which are old, the ones Makefile.def.EC2.... are reasonab;y up to date and are provided for most of common linux platforms .. also go to the framework message bo...

betaKcomm will use the stiffness matrix at the last time step .. as for modal It should be in the version available for download.
