The files provided are not the mesh, but just the files to generate a tcl file.
You need to generate your own mesh first.
Then assign the properties as given in the problemtype and then export.

Order of nodes for elements
Hi All, When exporting my mesh from GiD into a tcl file, I found out that the order of nodes for forming the elements is different within the same model. E.g., sometimes numbering starts at the top right corner for some elements and for other elements in the same model at the bottom right corner. Th...

CloseOnWrite results in crash
Hello, I have a problem when using closeOnWrite for node recorder. The program crashes saying "OpenSees.exe has stopped working" and I can only click "close the program". I still can see in the background the following error message: "NodeRecorder::NodeRecorder - dataToStore...

Re: Quad element - Stresses are identical at all Gauss point
Hello, Thank you for your reply. I have checked my boundary conditions and changed to an elastic material. Nevertheless, my results are still the same at all four Gauss points and the results represent the stresses in the middle of the element. Please see below a simplified model with only one eleme...

Quad element - Stresses are identical at all Gauss points
Hello, I have problems when plotting my stresses. The results are identical at all 4 Gauss integration points. I'm trying to identify the location of my vertical stresses in relation to depth. I currently only analysing a 2x2 matrix (4 elements). The output shows identical values for sigma11 and sig...

Plain Pattern - What is the cfactor?
Hello, I have a question on cFactor (constant factor for applied velocity) I'm trying to input a velocity time history input to simulate a seismic event. Using the .tcl example from http://opensees.berkeley.edu/wiki/index.php/Site_Response_Analysis_of_a_Layered_Soil_Column_%28Total_Stress_Analysis%2...
