Errors from OpenSeesMP, OpenSeesSP using Mumps
Hi everyone, Here are three errors from my model using OpenSeesMP, OpenSeesSP with system of Mumps. For problem 1 and 2, it seems that the Mumps solver is not able to switch to the backup algorithms when the present algorithm encounters singularity matrix. For problem 3, the model did not run for ev...

A Problem found in OpenSees new version 2.5.0
Hi guys, I have just downloaded the newly released version 2.5.0 and found a problem when running one of my models. My model is relatively large so I used "system UmfPack -lvalueFact 120". When testing the same codes, 2.5.0 ran significantly slower than 2.4.6. I checked the task manger in ...

Re: A problem about SAWS material
@emjac
Thanks for your info. I was doing IDA to collapse at that time, and I used maximum inter-story drift ratios as the indicator. I got the same results in one folder, and different results if just copy the codes and ran them in another folder. This sounds very unusual but it did happen.

Re: A problem about SAWS material
Hi TOKYOTech, I also had this problem in my SAWS models. What's more, when I ran the dynamic analyses, they gave me different results each time I ran the codes. I have sent an email with my codes to Frank to report this problem. Unfortunately I haven't received any replies yet. I believe there are s...

Problem using SparseSYM
Hi guys, I am building a large tall building model now, which is a 3-D model and has about 10000 nodes. I have used the SparseSYM for dynamic analysis without any problems in my previous models, and I think it is more efficient for large models than the generally used UmfPack. As for my present mode...
