Changing parameter during earthquake
Hi every body I have a frame model (one span and one story). I want to analyze the model under earthquake motion excitation. The earthquake motion duration is 30 seconds. In the first 15s of duration, I want to analyze the model with column section A, and in the second 15s of duration with column se...

Thanks so much Dr. McKenna, I sent script to your mail.

Warning ArpackSOE
Hi everyone I am performing an IDA analysis (nonlinear dynamic analyses with increments 0.1g) on a bridge model. This model is analyzed under mainshock-aftershock sequence ground motion. Used ground motion duration is 178.5 seconds. In order to run the IDA analysis for all of scaled ground motions (...

Warning in analysis
Hi everybody I modeled a infill wall by considering the presented model by Dr. Mosalam and Dr.Gunay that exists in OpenSees page, My model is 2D and assigned it to a 2D one story frame (one bay) and units are SI. I performed pushover analysis but after running, I encountered following errors: WARNIN...

infill wall model
Hi everybody I modeled a infill wall by considering the presented model by Dr. Mosalam and Dr.Gunay that exists in OpenSees page, My model is 2D and assigned it to a 2D one story frame (one bay) and units are SI. When I run this model, I encountered a warning as follows: WARNING invalid A Elastic se...

Re: modeling of buckling restrained braces in a Rc moment fr
if you use test "NormDispIncr" , increase number of iteration.
I have some papers about BUCKLING RESTRAINED BRACES, my email is jackjojack16@gmail.com, for sending these papers, please mail me, if you want.

Re: nodal mass for eigen analysis
Hi saharnaz
For nodal mass, you should consider all loads applied on beams and divide them to related nodes. for considering live load, if applied distribute load on beam be W, W means:
W=WD+0.2WL that WD is dead load and WL is live load. 0.2 is live load participation Percent.

Hi saharnaz
To repkly your question, first I should know some points:
Did you use fiber sections in RC frame? what kind element did you use for modeling buckling restrained knee braces?
