Re: Convergence Problem in Cyclic Analysis

hi, dear Rejina, have your question solved? I also use dispbeamcolumn and elasticbeamcolmun element to model the shear wall, but failed, could you share your solutions?

why the convergence of concrete02 so bad?

When modelling the mechanical performance of RC structural members, if the Concrete02 material is employed, the problem encountered most frequency is the convergence, one will always get "analyze failed", no matter the force based element is employed nor the displacement based element. So,...

Concrete01 for dynamic analysis

Hi everybody. there is a question. I use concrete01 and steel02 material to simulate a two stroy RC frame, the dynamic analysis result reveal that the axis force of the first floor column is compression but the y-direction displacement in the first floor is positive. is there anybody come across the...

Re: Problem Structure Optimization with SNOPT

I have encountered the same problem:

Fatal: can not run tcl file tclFileToRun.tcl in SNOPTAnalysis
toyOptFunction: SNOPTAnalysis -> update wrong!

could you paste how you deal with this problem?

How Opensees deal with equation of motion

Something about rigidDiaphragm and nodeReaction

Could someone tell me that when the command nodeReaction recorder a force?

When rigidDiaphragm is used, if displacementControl is used, I can get a force from the rigid node using nodeReaction or reaction, but when the LoadControl is used I got zero.

Could anyone can tell when nodeReaction works?

Re: WARNING BandGenLinLapackSolver::solve() -LAPACK routine

I have a question, do Opensees have any command to simulate the 3D isolate building with Rubber isolation bearing?

I found that in Opensees, there exist a command that can simulate 2D isolate building with Rubber isolation bearing?

Hope for your reply
