RECORDER PROBLEMS
HI
Using the recorder command,is it possible to save a number of step lower than the number of steps of the analysis?...for example, the number of steps of the analysis is 1000 but I want to save 100 steps, 1 every 10 steps....
thanks

Re: KIKUCHI BEARINGS-BASE ISOLATION
Hi Aryan,
I'm sure that it works (because the kikuchi material works very well) but how do you take into account the axial behaviour of the bearing

Re: COMPILING OPENSEES - MODIFYING KIKUCHI-AIKEN MATERIAL
Hi frank,
No I don't have the message if I use the regular material.
I'm sorry but I'm confused about your explanation... What do you suggest to check?
Thank you

Re: COMPILING OPENSEES - MODIFYING KIKUCHI-AIKEN MATERIAL
I checked and I'm sure that the message ("in constructor of UniaxialMat") is not included in the .cpp code....I really don't know where it is located....

Re: KIKUCHI BEARINGS-BASE ISOLATION
Hi Aryan, I worked a lot with this element (kikuchi bearing) and I found some problems... Actually I agree with you... the results obtained using the Kikuchi material are consistent while the results obtained using the Kichuki element are weird in particula for what concerns the axial behaviour...In...

COMPILING OPENSEES - MODIFYING KIKUCHI-AIKEN MATERIAL
Hi, Using Visual Studio 2008, I modified (in C++) the internal parameter of the Kikuchi-Aiken uniaxial material in order to get the behaviour of a specific rubber type. The compiled version of opensees works and the results make sense... The problem is that carrying out the analysis using the compil...

Re: the kikuchi bearing element.. A VERY STRANGE ELEMENT!!!!
Hi fmk, I understand what you are saying, I know that this element is very new but at the same time It is very interesting... that's the reason why I studied all the papers by Kikuchi related to this element and the source code in cpp!!!! As I told you before, the KikichiElement works very good if u...

the kikuchi bearing element.. A VERY STRANGE ELEMENT!!!!
Hi, I'm working with the kikuchi bearing element but I have a serious problem with it.... It works very well if used alone (I mean in a very simple configuration, like for example a single element with a mass on the top) while it has many problems when used into a more complex structure (for example...

reduction rate for stiffness & force. KIKUCHIAIKEN MATERIAL
hi all, I'm using the kikuchi bearing element in order to model the behaviour of elastomeric (HDR) bearings. As suggested by the opensees manual, I am using the Kikuchi Aiken uniaxial material for the shear springs. The model works but I can't understand the role of the reduction rate for stiffness ...
