Re: beam-column joint problem
in my mode node 15 is the centroid point of the spatial interior beam-column joint and the node of 2 5 6 9 12 13 is the nodes which located aroud the joint . i set up the relation as follows: rigidLink beam 15 2 rigidLink beam 15 5 rigidLink beam 15 6 rigidLink beam 15 9 rigidLink beam 15 12 rigidLi...

Re: beam-column joint problem
dear sir fmk: firstly ,thanks for your advice. and maybe the problem is for this part of geometry transformation, but i still have few unknowns. when i change the [$vecxzX $vecxzY $vecxzZ ] the model outlook was all the same through the [DisplayModel3D.tcl]. so i think the identification of [$vecxzX ...

Re: element joint2D problem
the problem was solved by the use of beam-column joint element.
this element may be used either in two or three dimensional problem.
thanks!

Re: beam-column joint problem
the second bigger problem i met. i run a planar beam-column joint analysis sucessfully in x-y coordinate system;but when i setup the same model in x-y-z coordinate system the results was about 70% reduced. the part of the tcl script was like this : node 1 0.0 0.0 0 node 2 0.0 $ColumnLengthClear 0 no...

beam-column joint problem
when i run the tcl.script the message follows:missing operator _@_ in expression "30.045_@_.060.0/0.1" was displayed.
what relationship between it and my procedure.
who can help me!
Thanks!

three dimensional beam-column joint simulation
how can i set up the three dimensional joint model use the beam-column joint element? i mean i can use the beam-column element ( http://opensees.berkeley.edu/wiki/index.php/BeamColumnJoint_Element)to simulate the planar beam-column joint but i want to do the simulation of a spatial interior beam-col...

element joint2D problem
i use the joint2D element to do the simulation. the joint element node was 24 25 26 27 and when i run the process the message like this : time-varying constraint for node 24 none-varying assumed. how to improve the syntax of the tcl script to make it run smoothly. thanks set IDpinching 4 set ePf1 [e...

Re: spatial beam-column joint simulation
when i set iDmax "5 10 " the "Done" was displayed and when i set iDmax "5 10 15" the failed message was displayed.
why?
and i wanna finish the idmax by the number of 120mm.that is set set iDmax "5 10 15 20 25 30......120"
