Re: load transfer
thanks for your reply!may i do this in this way:i use "uniaxialMaterial Elastic" command to give the post-stiffness value ,then i use "element zeroLength" instead of "element elastomericBearing",add the material to the zeroLength element.is it right? "as you can is...

Re: load transfer
hello,fmk!
when i output the eigenvalues,LRB bearing is a bi-linear material,i want to use the post-stiffness to obtain the eigenvalues, how can i achieve
it? i use "element elastomericBearing" to simulate the bearing.

load transfer
I have two questions.
First, when defining gravity load, the superstructure and the pier's dead weight are defined, the load that the superstructure transfer to pier is defined or not?OS can transfer load automatically?
Second, does the modal analysis add gravity analysis?

Re: bridge problem
i'm sorry.i have other question to ask.the three spans simply supported beam place 12 bearings, that is each span simply supported beam place 4 bearings, i use "zeroLength element"to simulation bearing, zeroLength element's material is using Elastic uniaxialMaterial and ElasticPP uniaxialMat...

Re: bridge problem
the end node of the first span and the starting node of the second span are the same location or not?if not,the results of the middle pier(the second pier) bottom shear are closing to the results of the side pier(the first pier) bottom shear, thanks.

"an elastic beam with big stiffness",is using "element elasticBeamColumn"this command, and E is at least 100 times concrete's E ,is it right?
