Does KikuchiAikenLRB Material response has strain limit?
Hi Everyone, I am using the KikuchiAikenLRB Material following the link below: http://opensees.berkeley.edu/wiki/index.php/KikuchiAikenLRB_Material When I run the code, I am unable to get the hysteric response greater than strain level of 4. If I change the total thickneess of the rubber, I got the ...

Hi everyone,
I have also same modeling issue for BRB. Please provide some important modeling concern to improve the BRB model and selecting appropriate material model.

Re: problem in BRB frames
Dear Shahroozbral,
Did you solve the BRB frame with acceptable results? If you solve the modeling issues, please share your findings to improve the BRB model.

Re: analysis does not progress(no warning,no error)
Hi Saharnaz,
Have to check the period of the frame? Could you please tell what tolerance limit you used in the analysis? I think the modeling assumptions in the brb may influence the respone of the brb, which may change your response.

Re: Error as ProfileSPDLinDirectSolver in eigenvalue analysi
Dear Dr. Frank, Thank you for your feedback that helps to improve model especially the panel zone modelling and its parameters. Now, I got the reasonable response with some changes in my model. I have one issue for assigning panel zone shear model properties that make the response changes significan...

Error as ProfileSPDLinDirectSolver in eigenvalue analysis
Dear All, Although I got time period of 0.58 sec for a simple one story model with elastic model, I got following message while solving the same one story model with panel zone. OpenSees > source onestory.pz.tcl.tcl ProfileSPDLinDirectSolver::solve() - aii < 0 (i, aii): (6, 0) ProfileSPDLinDirectSol...

Re: Considering P-Delta Effects in bracing frames
Hi, 1. You have to apply the portion of the gravity load that comes from the space frames in between the moment resisting frame. It means that the gravity load that comes from the moment resisting frame along the perimeter should be applied in that perimeter MRF. Then, the remaining gravity loads of...
