I developed a new 3Dmaterial for modelling the soil behaviour in C++. But I don’t know how to use it in opensees 2.4.3. can you tell me how can I use this material?

if the collapse factor is for example $gmf=10 then 10/50=0.2 would be a good value for steps. 50 steps is enough I think.

it depends to your structure and ground motions under study try large numbers first like 10 to 15, see if your structure collapse or not. I don't thing for available records and ordinary frames, larger number would be necessary. but for weak structures an scale factor about 4 can cause side collapse...
