Hi dgale,
Thanks for your reply. I also searched for older releases and finally came to the identical version 2.5.0 (rev6477) as what you use. It works for dynamic analyses but does not work for static pushover analyses.
Thanks.
Fei.

Previously converged analysis failed when using Release 2.5
Hi everyone, I have a few analyses that were run in March 2016 and converged well. However, they failed when I run them using the identical .tcl scripts using OpenSees Release Version 2.5.0. I cannot remember the exact version that I used in March 2016. It should be the latest release by that time. ...

uniaxialMaterial SPSW_Web_Plate
Can anyone advise if the uniaxialMaterial model SPSW_Web_Plate has been implemented in OpenSees? When I tried to use it, it prompts "WARNING could not create uniaxialMaterial SPSW_Web_Plate".
Thanks

Behavioural and Physical Models for Steel Plate Shear Walls
Hi everyone, I am trying to model a steel plate shear wall (SPSW) assembly (boundary elements + infill plate). Could anyone please share your experiences on my following inquiries? [1] Phenomenological Model Whereas strip models are widely adopted in simulating the physical characteristics of SPSWs,...

Newton and ModifiedNewton methods
Hi everyone, Can someone help clarify about the options applied to the iterative algorithms of Newton and ModifiedNewton? Newton -initial Is it the initial tangent stiffness (associated with the undeformed structure) that will be used throughout all the integration time steps and for each iterative ...

Bi-Directional Displacement-Controlled Pushover
Does anyone has some idea on the following modeling demand? I'd like to conduct a displacement-controlled pushover analysis on a 3D structure. Instead of the structure's principle axes on plan that align with the global X and Z respectively, the controlled displacement need to be applied along a dia...

Displacement-controlled time history analysis
Could anyone please advise if it is possible for OpenSees to conduct a time history analysis that is not excited by a ground motion acceleration but a displacement/velocity time history that is applied on selected DOF(s)? I would like to test the Viscous Damper uniaxialMaterial by doing a displaceme...

SectionAggregator Object
Dear Colleagues, Here is a question about SectionAggregator object. I am trying to incorporate linear elastic shear component into an already-defined fiber section that captures the axial and flexural behaviors. To my knowledge, the following scripts are to be used: section Fiber $fiberSecTag { ; # ...
