I think make a program to control OpenSEES analysis is the way to solve the moment-rotation curve 3D problem. The programe is just like Xtract!

F is damper force
V is damper velocity of the end of the damper deformation
alpha is called damper viscous index

based on these two parameters, the hysteresis loop is defined

i have already use elastic truss, elastic bar means elastic truss,if you assign the property to truss with viscous material,that means the truss is not a elastic component, it's a pure viscous damper. so how to model maxwell damper is more difficult than bulit a pure damper.
