Thank you very much Vesna!
Now I can understand the outputs I have.
Could you tell me what do eps,KappaZ,KappaY,theta represent?

Output
I cannot understand what does any of the number of the output represent. To be specific, I write " recorder Element -file output/force5001.txt -ele 5001 localForce " and I get as a result " 25.1799 -0.104985 -0.0582719 -0.000863917 -0.0871452 -0.131072 -24.0999 0.104985 0.0582719 0.00...

Re: five floor structure on opensees
Hi,
I insert wipe at first line of the script but the outputs that I get do not show anything. I just get a file with the periods and some numbers written on opensees about 2*10^(-4),
Could you please run on opensees the script which I mentioned above and tell me if there is any problem?

Gerber I will send you my whole script on opensees by four responses? Could you please run it on opensees and tell me if something is wrong? five floor structure on opensees
I have created a script on opensees where I simulated the seismic response of a five floor structure. When I try to run it on opensees it says that the node 1001 already exists, but it does not. Could you tell me what is wrong and I do not get the results from the programme? My script is the followi...

Re: UniaxialMaterial Elastic
Sorry for not being clear. In order to be my structures safe from torsion I should create an UniaxialMaterial Elastic where I should insert the torsional stiffness. I do not know the type of torsional stiffness.(Maybe G*J)?

UniaxialMaterial Elastic
Should I create a UniaxialMaterial Elastic so that the structure is safe from torsion?
Is it uniaxialMaterial Elastic <tag> <E>? Does the E I will put depend on the section fibers I have created?

Steel bars in the beams
Hi! I would like to ask sth about the steel bars on opensees. Can I put different steel bars in the center point and in the side points of a beam? Generally different amount of steel bars is needed in the centre and in the sides of a beam because of their different moments. In addition, is it better...
