Eigenvalues with fiber section
Hi everyone, I have a question concerning the way eigenvalues are computed when some nonlinearities are in the model. For example, I have a column modelled with fiber section and nonlinearbeamcolumn element. I'd like to know if the eigenvalues computed by the eigen command are those considering the ...

Re: Concrete02 convergence
I found the problem. It was because of a wrong definition of the geomtransf command (bad orientation of self weight). Thank you for your attention.

Concrete02 convergence
Hello, I am modelling a bridge. The columns are forceBeamColumn elements with fiber section. When I use material Concrete02, the analysis fail to converge (failed to get compatible element forces and deformations for element error), but when i use Concrete01, it works. I don't understand how this is...

Re: Nonlinear analysis vs linear analysis results
Thank you for your help! I tried it by multiplying yield stress and yield strain by 1000 for each of my materials. I obtain a very stiff response. The stiffness is even higher than the one of the elastic response. I'm not sure this is working and if it is, I'm not sure what it means... The first per...

Nonlinear analysis vs linear analysis results
Hi, I am modelling a bridge structure and I am performing linear and nonlinear analyses on it. I tried to do a pushover of my model containing only linear elements (elasticBeamColumn elements). After it, I did a pushover with the very same model, but I replaced the columns of the bridge by nonlinear...

Re: damage model and damage recorder!
If someone have more information about this topic, I would be very interested to get it so that I can include a damage model in my simulations. I think the command works, but I don't have enough information to implement it... Thanks!
