Hi all
I just want to know if there is a way to update freq value for each step of analysis in order to update damping factor which depend on it ?
Thanks

Re: Q about Rigid body consrain command ?
apart from SAP I just need that the bending moment recognizes the additional 1m coming from the offset of the deck from the pier without altering the pier height considered in the pier stiffness calculation

Re: Q about Rigid body consrain command ?
I want to thank you so much for your reply. I already used it, i.e., the rigid link, but it did not work. What i really want is to make the base shear be the same and the bending moment at the base of pier to be increased by the value of the base shear * 1 meter ( the value of the offset distance) w...

Q about time history analyses for gap material element
hi all I have a question about the analyses process for a model which use gap material, when the gap closed something happened make the analyses failed, when I used the following numerical methods (algorithms) for solution 1- Newton 2- Modified Newton 3- Broyden 4- Kryov 5- BFGS But when I used the ...

Q about Rigid body consrain command ?
hi all
I am looking for RIGID BODY CONSTRAIN command Like SAP2000 program so i want to model the deck of bridge at the center line which one meter above the pier end .
note: i didn't want (equal degree of freedom constrain )
finally i want to thank you for all your effort

Q about T of any building
hi all
if there a command to get the time period (T) of the building?
how to get the participation factor of each mode ?
thank you
