Re: modeling 2d rc moment frame with rc shear wall

in every floor that you want to put shear wall , you should define multi nodes (such as 8 nodes) within floor so that last node embed on this floor and first node on low floor. between two nodes you should define DispbeamcolumnInt element.

Re: error to use rigid link and initstrain material

Probably it can not be solved by using Plain constraint handler. See command language manual for other constraints handler
such as Penalty Method.

Problem about bilinear material behavior ?

hello , i want to define trilinear force-deformation behavior for material that use in SDOF system, so that Third line have Negative slope. i use Hysteretic Material with pinchX =1 , pinchY= 1 , damage1= 0.0 , damage2= 0.0 , beta= 0.0 , but after analysis force-deformation diagram it 's not what I n...

Re: modeling 3D RC shear wall

For 2d modeling and analysis of RC shear wall use "dispBeamColumnInt" element . but still As far as I know, there is not element for 3d modeling and analysis of RC shear wall in opensees.

Question about RC shear wall element (dispBeamColumnInt)?

Dear all, exact height of sher wall is defined by $iNode and $jNode in "dispBeamColumnInt" command ,and exact thickness of the section is defined by " $thick1, $thick2, $thick3 " in "section FiberInt" command , but length of shear wall that defined by "fiber" ...

Problem about dynamic Analysis Time and NumSteps ?

Dear all, I have a quesion about dynamic Analysis Time. when we have Uniform Excitation pattern with acceleration record file , the analyze command is define as: analyze $NumSteps $DtAnalysis where "NumSteps" is number of steps and "DtAnalysis" is time-step increment . if we assu...
