Re: Building v.2.4.4
Hello, I encountered a very similar issue. I'm trying to compile OpenSEES rev. 5835 with Visual Studio 2010. First, I installed 32bit versions of both TCL and OpenSSL. Then, I opened OpenSeesVC6.sln and I added 'lib' and 'include' folders to the 'opensees' startup project. Nevertheless, the compilin...

multi-DoFs DisplacementControl analysis
Dear All,
is it possible to run a DisplacementControl static analysis applying displacement increments to more than one degree-of-freedom?
I did not find any tcl example to do this.
Many thanks!!

Re: OpenSEES - MatLAB interface
Dear Geyas, sorry for the great delay in the reply but then I paused my OpenSEES activities. Finally I solved by running a complete OpenSEES analysis from Matlab via 'dos' command (see matlab ref.). I removed recorder before exit from OpenSEES. As a result, time history were available for Matlab. Co...

OpenSEES - MatLAB interface
Is it possible to resume a time-history analysis at a certain time after closing OpenSEES? I would like to send a displacement command to OpenSEES from MatLAB and retrieve a restoring force from OpenSEES. I tried with OpenFRESCO but also for linear model with about 20 DoFs the convergence fails afte...

EqualDoF and Recorders
Hello, I'm doing time history and pushover analysis on a 3D frame. Does the recorder store data relevant to contrained nodes (equalDoF)? Does it store data for both the coupled nodes (master and slave)? It seems that it doesn't do that ...but I would like to know if i'm mistaken. Thanks a lot Giuseppe

Test Class
Hello,
I'm doing a time history analisys but and the convergence is difficult to achieve.
I'm using the displacement increment test object and I print information when convergence has been achieved.
Which is the meaning of the displayed Norm Delta R? Is the unbalance force?
Thanks a lot
Giuseppe

Section recorder output
Good morning to all, I'm trying to get the output of this fiber section element: element nonlinearBeamColumn 341 484 485 $np 15 3; # Support (pulvino) by means of the section recorder defined below: recorder Element -file Recorder_Dynamic/Pier_9_Element_FBC3D_force_341_sec_1.txt -ele 341 section 1 f...

what is the aim of the database command?
which kind of informations are stored within the database?
how to read the SSQL format?
Thanks a lot

Database File
Does anyone know how to convert in a familiar format (txt, MatLAB, ect.) the database files written by the Database command of OpenSEES?
In this way Is it possible to get Mass and Stiffness matrix from the linear part of the model (that used by the eigen solver)?
Thanks a lot in advance
