hi,
can anyone tell me the function of rigidlink?
what is the difference between rigidlink and equalDoF?
Plus can I use both commands in a model like:
equalDoF 5 7 1 2
rigidLink beam 6 7

error in model
Dear Silvia, Thanks alot for reply. As you mentioned in the previouse email, I have corrected the mistakes in the attached files but when the cyclic loading is applied, it does the analysis only for 1 cycle ad after 1 cycle there are errors in the analysis as follows: WARNING - ForceBeamColumn2d::up...

model builder
hi , In the limit state material model "CenterCol_basicModel.tcl" in the manual, the structure was modelled as a 2D structure (which means every node has 3 DOF’s) but in the definition of zero length elements they used 6th direction which is as followed: # Define the zero-length end spring...

question on Model builder
using model builder for a 2D problem,
model BasicBuilder -ndm 2 -ndf 3
which mean that we have trasfomation in X and Y direction and rotation in Z axis.
how the program knows that the third one is rotation in Z axis(direction 6)?
especially when we need to model rotational spring in direction 6?

Node force recorder problem
Dear Silvia,
do you know how can I ask the program to record the force in a specific node? As I am doing a reversed cyclic analysis and I apply a lateral force to a specific node.
