Material models in SNAP directory
I am looking for documentation or examples that use the uniaxial material models in the SNAP directory, particularly the Clough and Pinching models. If anyone out there is using these models and could help, I would appreciate it.

Of course. Near as I can tell, the ssl library files are located in /lib and/or /usr/lib on my machine, and are referenced in makefile.def as: MACHINE_LINKLIBS = -L$(BASE)/lib where BASE is the root directory, and MACHINE_SPECIFIC_LIBS = -ldl -lieee -lm -lc -lg2c -Wl,-rpath,/usr/lib \ /usr/lib/mysql...

Problems linking OpenSees with Scientific Linux 4.1
Hi, I have just tried to build OpenSees on Scientific Linux 4.1 (functionally equivalent to Redhat Enterprise Linux 4). I get errors of the following type while linking. OpenSSL is installed on the machine so the libraries should be there. Any suggestions? /usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.a(viossl.o)(....

Absolute acceleration recorder
I would like to make another plug for having the ability to record absolute (or total) acceleration as an option for the Node or EnvelopeNode recorder. Relative acceleration is pretty much useless. I just assumed that the recorder output absolute acceleration and found out, much to my dismay, that i...

Also, you can apply an additional elastic zeroLength element with zero stiffness and nonzero eta. On a related note, is there away Rayleigh damping can be applied to a substructure, or subset of a total structure? I tried defining the elements that I didn't want to be affected by Rayleigh damping af...

Use of Rayleigh damping command
The command "rayleigh" does not work as I expect it to. I have employed it to achieve damping proportional to the initial stiffness matrix and mass matrix in the following example (a simple 5-story shear building with elastic-plastic behavior at each story). The command rayleigh $a0 0.0 $a...
