there was prob of load whatever i was applying that was to much,facotor of safety was too high, now analysis is safe in gravity analysis but cyclic load analysis is going to fail again...

simple doubt

hi,
I want to ask a doubt
in gravity analysis we are applying a load in downward direction( means -sign will be use for defining the load) and getting a force in foundation spring elements in negative....i thing it should be positive because that reaction will be upward ????
what is the correct ??
